Summer Solstice (detail), 1996, wax, 112”x 10”x 10” , show 7:24:52 PM  by Carl Berg. The words “ Summer Solstice” were installed at the Lasca Gallery in Los Angeles  the day of the astronomic summer solstice in the month of June and the artwork was set on fire at the Pacific Time and eventually  the 2 words  melted down into a large blue  spot.
